Princess Elizabeth and Lion Wards
We transformed 2 children’s surgical wards using charity funding raised by a young patient, Meghan Frost, and presented by Olly Murs.
The Challenge
To completely refurbish these wards and create a more healing and comforting environment, including for the parents’ space, staff room and quiet lounge.
Our Response
We devised a jungle scheme for Lion and a quintessentially British one for Princess Elizabeth, which included hygenic, easy-wipe wall wraps, magnetic tree notice boards, colourful door signs and blinds featuring bespoke collages, created by our artist, where children can search within. Parents are now able to spend time away from the ward in a beautiful haven; the staff have a restful space with bright comfy seating and the Quiet Lounge has a calming blue sky and tree tops theme.
