Todd Ward
We developed a cheery beach hut and countryside scheme for this 21-bed pre and post-operative liver transplant unit.
“Following my op I spent 9 days gazing at the most beautiful of landscapes opposite my bed – it had such a wonderful calming influence on me.”

The Challenge
To provide a healing and welcoming feel throughout all areas of this specialist unit, including the tiny and oddly shaped staff room.
Our Response
We worked closely with the ward team to develop the theme emblazoned across the blinds, walls and sliding doors of every room, with matching door signs throughout. The staff are delighted with the bright upbeat design of their staff lounge, with it’s new kitchen, breakfast bar, bespoke seating and seaside wall.
“I was in total shock after being blue-lighted to Kings with liver failure and spent most of the time mesmerised by the beautiful canal boat blind – I dream of visiting that precise spot.”
